5:10: Ali Seif, a blogger, says that pro-Mubarak supporters are throwing boiled water from balconies overlooking the Tahrir Square. Television footage also shows bricks, tables and chairs thrown from balconies overlooking the square.
4:55: Pro-Mubarak activists throw tear gas at activists demanding his ouster in Tahrir Square.
4:50: Local hospital in Tahrir Square put together by doctors is flooded with injured hurt during clashes with Pro-Mubarak protesters, a medic inside the hospital told Al-Masry Al-Youm. Nora, a medic inside the hospital said that they are running out of supplies and assistance. Injuries were caused by sharp objects, fists and sticks.
4:40: Plain cloth police is arresting activists and journalists in Tahrir Square as Mubarak’s supporters continue to storm the area with batons, stones and tear gas. An Al-Masry Al-Youm journalist has reported seeing arrested activists and journalists being transferred to an area close to the nearby Egyptian Museum.
4:00: Shaher Abbas, an eye witness, told Al-Masry Al-Youm that he spotted trucks in the Mansheyat Nasser area, west of Cairo, carrying tear gas bombs. Next to the scene, he spotted pro-Mubarak protesters carrying signs and flags. A driver within the area, confirmed the account to Al-Masry Al-Youm and said that security officers approached people in the area and asked them to participate in a pro-Mubarak protest, head to Tahrir and use tear gas to attack activists demonstrating on the square. He added that police offered LE50 for each protester and said that many took the offer given the on-going cash scarcity problem since curfew hours were introduced on Friday. He also said that army trucks did not stop them from heading to Tahrir Square with the trucks carrying tear gas.
