Adviser: Presidency receives harassment draft law

Presidency received the draft law on harassment from the National Council for Women, Sekina Fouad, presidential adviser to women affairs, said on Saturday.

Issuance of the law tops the priorities of the presidency due to the urgent necessity of the law, said Ali Awad, constitutional adviser to president. Current law gives the interim president the right to issue laws that the country needs immediately, without waiting until parliament is formed.

Awad added that presidency is considering all laws proposed and taking decision over each according to the need to it and whether it could be postponed until parliament is formed.
