Arabic coffee, Razfa dance registered on UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list

UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage approved three files submitted by the UAE, in cooperation with other Arab countries, for the registration of Arabic coffee and al-Razfa dance on the Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

The requests were approved during UNESCO's tenth meeting, which was held in Namibia's capital city, Windhoek, between November 29 and December 4. The meetings were attended by representatives of 175 countries.

The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar had submitted requests to register Arabic coffee and the traditional Gulf dance of Razfa.
