Cabinet: 62,000 cases of electricity stealing

Cabinet spokesperson Hossam al-Qawish said Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb met on Tuesday with the director of the electricity police, who told him there were 62,815 cases of electric currents, cables or lighting poles being stolen that were detected in a recent crackdown.
 
“The prime minister said such thefts will be punished by law,” Qawish told Al-Mehwar channel on Tuesday.
