Cabinet approves re-forming Supreme Council for Ports

During its meeting on Wednesday 17/1/2024, the cabinet led by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, approved a draft resolution on re-forming and re-organizing the Supreme Council for Ports.

The council is composed of many members, including the ministers of supply and internal trade, planning and economic development, environment, trade and industry, civil aviation and local development, in addition to a representative of the logistics sector from the private sector.

Under the draft decision, the new council will be renamed the “Supreme Council for Ports and Logistics.”

In a related development, the cabinet also agreed on another draft resolution regarding the re-establishment of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education “NAQAAE” following some introduced amendments and comments by the ministers.

Meanwhile, the cabinet as well endorsed the continuation of using free transit visas until the end of April, 2024.
