CBE offers 137th tender of US$40 million for auction

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) granted on Wednesday a tender of US$40 million, offering it up for auction to banks operating in the local market.
 
The tender is the 137th since the tender system began on 31 December.
 
CBE has granted periodical tenders of $6.3 billion and exceptional tenders of $2.7 billion in April, May and September.
 
In November, the foreign cash reserve decreased by U$825 million, reaching $17.7 billion compared to $18.5 billion at the end of October.
