Children’s council running anti-school violence campaign

The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood has launched a campaign to raise awareness against violence at schools, its general secretary said Friday.

Hala Abu Ali said the campaign kicked off with the start of the second semester of the school year. She told Al-Masry al-Youm the campaign includes workshops that train teachers on avoiding violence against students.

According to Abu Ali, the campaign is focused on teachers’ in-class behavior, the adoption of modern teaching techniques and identifying of students likely to use violence in schools.
