Clashes leave ten injured in Qalyubiya

Ten people were injured from birdshot in violent clashes early Monday between supporters of deposed president Mohamed Morsy and residents of Ahmed Orabi Street, in Shubra al-Kheima, Qalyubiya governorate.

During a march by Morsy backers, protesters chanted slogans against Defense Minister and army chief Abel Fattah al-Sisi, who removed Morsy from office earlier this month following mass protests.

The march provoked clashes between both sides and firearms and BB guns were used, leaving ten injured. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Three Central Security squads managed to regain control of the situation.
