Communication Ministry suspends 6 mn cell phone lines: minister

The Communications and Information Technology Ministry suspended six million mobile phone lines in collaboration with Egypt's three mobile operators due to the absence of data about the users, said Communications Minister Yasser el-Qady on al-Qahera wal Nas channel Thursday evening.

The government seeks to put all their services online, said Qady, noting that there are 32 government services so far available through the internet.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is very much interested in technological areas as beacons distributed over the provinces of the republic, he said, adding that the seven technological areas would provide 500,000 job opportunities for young people. Two of them will be completed in two years, said Qady.
