Court acquits 20 defendants arrested in Mubarak trial clashes

An Egyptian court Thursday acquitted 20 defendants arrested following clashes that took place outside the third court session of President Hosni Mubarak's trial.

The clashes between martrys' families and pro-Mubarak demonstrators on 9 September in front of the Police Academy left 17 people injured, including 15 policemen.

On the same day fighting also erupted between plaintiffs' lawyers and the defense team, with some of the lawyers using shoes to hit each other and burning an image of the former president.
