Court to resume trial of Mubaraks over seizing public money

Cairo Criminal Court will resume Thursday the trial of former President Hosni Mubarak and his two sons over seizing LE125 million public money in a case known in media as the "presidential palaces' case."

The prosecutor added four defendants to the indictment.

The Criminal Court returned the case to the prosecution due to incomplete investigations carried out and referred to court by the Supreme State Security Prosecution in June 2013.

The prosecutor recently added Mohy Eddin Abdel Hakim, an engineer at the central administration of presidential communication, Amr Mahmoud Mohamed Khedr, an engineer at the presidency, and engineers at the Arab Contractors Company Abdel Hakim Mansour and Magda Ahmed Hassan for facilitating the acquisition of public money to the Mubarak family.
