Dar al-Ifta: Western media serve terrorism

The Dar al-Ifta warned that the Western media fuel conflict and portray the crimes of terrorist groups, who falsely claim that they speak in the name of Islam, as if it is a war between the Orient and the Occident.

Such discourse, it says, is in favor of terrorism and extremism and sends a negative messages about the vast majority of Muslims who represent true Islam.

Ibrahim Negm, adviser to the Mufti, called in a press statement on Tuesday on Muslim scholars and preachers to restore the true image of Islam from the dark forces of terrorism and extremism, warning of the spread of the ideas of terrorist organizations that deviate from the teachings and principles of Islam among some Muslim youths who live in the West.

“This made Western governments concentrate on those youths who join the dissidents of al-Qaeda,” he said.

Negm said Dar al-Ifta printed the teachings of Islam in English in five volumes to be distributed among Muslim communities all over the world to guide them and correct extremist ideologies.

“It will be available on Android and App store systems,” he said.
