Death toll from Friday violence reaches 173

The total death toll from Friday violence across Egypt has reached 173, according to Health Ministry spokesperson Mohamed Barakat.
 
The new figures also counted 1,330 injured.
 
Clashes in and around Ramses Square in central Cairo left 95 dead and 596 injured.
 
Five people were killed in Giza, 25 in Alexandria, five in Suez and another five in Ismailia, the Health Ministry official said.
 
Seven people were meanwhile killed in Matrouh, four in Damietta, seven in Gharbiya, three in Daqahliya, two in Fayoum, four in Port Said and two in Kafr El-Sheikh.
