The Doctors' Syndicate has requested permission from the prosecutor general to do a medical exam on Esraa al-Tawil, an activist who has been detained for months pending trial.
Tawil is suffering from a spine injury that needs urgent treatment.
The syndicate said in a statement on Tuesday that this was the second time it has submitted such a request, adding that the Qanater women’s prison hospital did not give the patient proper treatment.
