
Egypt strongly condemned on Sunday, June 28, 2026, the Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting the sisterly states of Kuwait and Bahrain. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the strikes as a flagrant violation of the two countries’ sovereignty, a threat to their security and stability as well as an unacceptable escalation that undermines ongoing diplomatic efforts to consolidate de-escalation and reduce tensions in the region.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Egypt reaffirmed its full solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain and expressed its complete support for all measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their security and stability.
Egypt also stressed the importance of adhering to the ongoing negotiation process, supporting serious efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and resorting to dialogue as well as peaceful means to resolve disputes in a way that enhances regional security and stability.
