Egypt continues offering humanitarian assistance to storm-hit Libya

CAIRO, Sept 15 (MENA) – The General Command of the Armed Forces issued directives to load tons of humanitarian aid, subsistence materials, relief crews, as well as ambulances and large numbers of engineering equipment on a Mistral helicopter carrier to be sent by sea to storm-hit Libya.

The move comes in implementation of directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to continue providing immediate support and humanitarian relief to Libya.

Within the same context, a convoy carrying humanitarian aid, medical supplies, search and rescue teams, in addition to engineering equipment was sent to Libya via Salloum border crossing to help remove the effects resulting from the devastating storm and flooding that rattled Libya over the past few days.

Also, a number of search, rescue and evacuation aircraft were sent to affected areas. (MENA)
