Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Atef Helmy is meeting with Ali al-Khoury, director general of the Emirates Identity Authority, to discuss future cooperation agreements in this field.

Digital identity is a major concern in Egypt at the moment for the vital role it plays in supporting the government's electronic plans.

The summit discusses the latest identity systems and global smart applications, the impact of information and communication technology on this industry, and the cooperation between the public and private sectors in this area.

An exhibition is held on the sidelines of the summit, in which 30 specialized companies from different parts of the world present the latest technology in this field.
