Egypt registers 137 swine flu infections in a week

Egypt's Ministry of Health revealed on Monday that 137 persons were found last week to be infected with the H1N1 virus (otherwise known as swine flu).

Abdel Rahman Shaheen, the ministry’s official spokesperson, said in a statement that the number of incidents of the virus was normal.

Following precautionary procedures as well as general and personal sanitation, according to Shaheen, is the best way to keep the virus at bay.

More than 16,000 persons are reported to have been infected with the H1N1 virus since last July. Of those, 266 have died.
