Egypt to see moderately hot and humid weather on Saturday

Meteorologists predict moderately hot and humid weather on Saturday in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coasts, hot weather in northern Upper Egypt, and very hot weather in southern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures will be milder at night in most parts of the country, with moderate temperatures in Upper Egypt.

Morning mist is expected for the northern coasts, Cairo and Lower Egypt.

Winds, meanwhile, are predicted to be moderate, and more active in some parts of Greater Cairo.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 30C in Alexandria, 35C in Cairo, 39C in Qena, 40C in Luxor, and 40C in Aswan.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that the country is still being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which makes the country’s weather hotter and more humid.

Minimum and maximum humidity levels expected are: Cairo and Lower Egypt 35-85 percent, the northern coasts 45-88 percent, northern Upper Egypt 25-65 percent, and southern Upper Egypt 18-35 percent.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate, ranging between one and 1.5 meters in height, while in the Red Sea moderate ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, with northwesterly surface winds on both seas.
