EgyptAir increases flights for summer

EgyptAir said Thursday the airline has increased its scheduled flights for the second half of summer 2012 by 18 percent over the same period last year.

Starting in June, weekly flights heading to Middle Eastern cities will increase from 210 last summer to 238; Africa from 85 to 126; Europe from 126 to 139; and Far East from 25 to 29, said EgyptAir Chairman Captain Ayman Nasr.

More international flights will also depart from Alexandria, Assiut, Sohag, and Luxor.

"We will have 584 flights per week until the end of this summer's schedule, compared to 494 flights in the summer of 2011," Nasr said.
