EgyptAir to transport 2,200 Palestinian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year

The head of EgyptAir, Hesham al-Nahas, said Wednesday that the airline company has signed a cooperation agreement with Palestinian Airways, under which the company will operate nine charter flights to transport 2,200 Palestinian pilgrims to Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia this year.

These trips will begin on September 8 with three daily flights from the Seasonal Trips Building at the Cairo Airport, he added.

The agreement is not the first of its kind, as the company has always been keen on providing travel services to Palestinian people and ease their suffering, Nahas said.

He stressed that EgyptAir will facilitate the procedures of the trips in coordination with Cairo Airport authorities.
