Egyptian ambassador meets Czech PM to probe enhancing cooperation

Egypt’s Ambassador to Prague, Mahmoud Afifi, met with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to discuss developments in bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation across political, economic, and cultural areas.

For his part, Afifi offered congratulations on the prime minister’s assumption of office and expressed Egypt’s interest in enhancing cooperation in sectors such as industry, energy, transport, information technology, agriculture, and water management.

Meanwhile, the Czech prime minister stressed the importance of advancing ties between the two countries.

The talks also addressed upcoming high-level visits and recent developments, including increased Czech tourism to Egypt, efforts to boost trade and investment, and continued cultural and academic cooperation, including the work of the Czech archaeological mission in Egypt and scholarships for Egyptian students.
