An Egyptian diplomat has managed to acquire command of the Indonesian language within ten days. He was able to deliver a speech in Indonesian at the foreign ministry on behalf of other trainee diplomats.
Karim Hussein was part of a training course on Indonesian culture, a program organized by the Indonesian foreign ministry, before he headed to join the Egyptian embassy in Jakarta by the end of this year.
Hussein also presented Indonesian President Jokowi with a piece of textile bearing the president’s name, which he fabricated himself.
