Minister of Environment Yassmen Fouad and Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahr Nassr held a meeting on Sunday with World Bank (WB) senior environmental economic expert Craig Messner, where they discussed technical aids in pollution management and environmental health.
The meeting also discussed preliminary results for a study utilizing sustainable transportation and increased cooperation in a program for pollution management, which aims to set out strategies to manage air quality in the bigger cities.
Fouad asserted that the WB’s studies would help in preparing executive policies that would improve the country’s environment and quality of life.
Messner said that the WB is keen on providing aids to Egypt in field of environment during the next period.
WB Senior environment specialist Dalia Latef said that the bank would continue to provide support in projects which improve standard of living.
