EMA predicts hot weather across Egypt on Saturday and Sunday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority is anticipating hot weather throughout the country on Saturday and Sunday. 

Saturday

Hot weather will prevail on Saturday in Cairo and the Delta Governorates, while moderately hot weather is expected on the north coast. South Sinai and Upper Egypt should expect very hot weather.

A light drizzle will fall on Cairo, the Delta Governorates, and along the north coast in the morning. 

Scattered showers are predicted for Egypt’s northeast coast, and thunderstorms bringing moderate rain will fall in southern Upper Egypt. 

A semi-powerful wind is expected to blow through South Sinai, possibly disrupting maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez and lifting dust and sand in south Upper Egypt.

High temperatures for the following cities are: 31C in Cairo and The Delta Governorates, 29C along the north coast and in central Sinai, 35C in South Sinai and in the Red Sea mountains, 34C in northern Upper Egypt, and 40C in southern Upper Egypt.

Humidity levels will range from 25 to 70 percent in Cairo, 28 to 75 percent in the Delta Governorates, 45 to 85 percent along the north coast and in central Sinai, 30 to 70 percent in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, 22 to 60 percent in northern Upper Egypt, and 14 to 30 percent in southern Upper Egypt.

Sunday

Hot weather will continue in Cairo, the Delta Governorates, and the northwest coast. The northeast coast and South Sinai will cool a bit, and Upper Egypt will remain hot.

Light, scatterd precipitation is expected in the northeast coastal cities.

A southwestern wind will blow through Upper Egypt and South Sinai, possibly disrupting maritime navigation.

Temperates are expected to reach 32C in Greater Cairo and the Delta Governorates, 32C along the northwestern coasts, 29C along the northeastern coasts and in central Sinai, 36C in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, 35C in northern Upper Egypt, and 39C in southern Upper Egypt.

Humidity levels will range from 25 to 75 percent in Cairo, 28 to 80 percent in the Delta Governorates, 45 to 85 percent along the north coast and in central Sinai, 30 to 60 percent in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, 22 to 50 percent in northern Upper Egypt, and 14 to 30 percent in southern Upper Egypt.
