Finance Min: Goods At Dlrs 1.7 Bn Cleared In 10 Days

Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said goods at a total value of dlrs 1.7 billion were cleared in various ports over the first 10 days of March in line with presidential directives to swiftly release goods in various ports.

In a statement on Wednesday 13/3/2024, he said this goes in line with the government’s needs of commodities to strike a balance in prices and alleviate burdens on people.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Egyptian Customs Authority Shahat Ghattori said up-to-date electronic systems help expediting clearing goods to access local markets.
