Fires break out near Cairo’s Opera Square as protesters advance on police

Dark plumes of smoke and tear gas filled the vicinity of Opera square as protesters advanced on police on Qasr al-Nil bridge.

Protesters are marching towards al-Tahrir square as police retreat.
