Forecasters expect better weather Sunday

On Saturday the Meteorological Authority predicted a relative improvement in the weather Sunday. Forecasters said winds would calm and rainfall would be limited to the northern shores, and that fair weather would prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern parts of Upper Egypt.

In the south of Upper Egypt, the weather is expected to be warm in daytime and extremely cold at night, it said.

Mist is expected on Sunday in the morning in Lower Egypt, Cairo and the Suez Canal cities. There will be frost on farmlands in central Sinai and Upper Egypt. Most of the wind will be northwesterly mild to moderate.

For the Mediterranean and the Red Sea experts expected mild wind, with wave heights between one and two meters. They said winds will be northwesterly on the Mediterranean, and northeasterly on the Red Sea.
