Heat wave to end Tuesday

Meteorologists expect a significant decrease in temperatures on Tuesday nationwide following the heat wave that has lasted for the past three days.

Moderate temperatures are expected along the north coast, warm weather for the delta, Cairo and the northern part of Upper Egypt, and very hot weather in the south of Upper Egypt.

Low to medium cloud cover is expected for the delta, Cairo and along the north coast, bringing with it some rain towards the northwest.

It will be a blustery day for most of the country, making for dusty winds in open areas. Strong winds on the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez could hinder maritime activities.

Maximum temperatures forecast for Tuesday in degrees Celsius:

Cairo and the delta: 34

Northeastern coast: 27

Northwestern coast: 25

Sinai: 36

Northern Upper Egypt: 36

Southern Upper Egypt: 46
