Heavy to moderate rainfall across Egypt on Saturday

TheEgyptian Metrological Authority (EMA) predicts unstable weather on Saturday, as low and medium clouds will cover the country, accompanied by heavy rains on the northern coasts and Lower Egypt. Moderate rainfall is expected in Cairo, Upper Egypt, South Sinai, and the Red Sea mounts.

Cold temperature will dominate the north of the country and moderate will prevail in the south of Upper Egypt in the daylight, while it will be very cold overnight. Frost will dominate central Sinai.

Winds will mostly be northwesterly, causing sandstorms across the southern parts of the country and disturbing maritime navigation in the Red Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 to 2.5 meters, with northwesterly surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be rough and range between 2.5 to 3 meters, with northwesterly surface winds.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows: 71C in Cairo, 17C in Alexandria, 20C in Qena, 20C in Luxor, and 22C in Aswan.
