‘Hezbollah case’ fugitive re-arrested after prison escape

The Daqahlia Security Department has re-arrested a man who escaped from Marg prison during the 25 January revolution, and who had been sentenced to 10 years in prison as one of the suspects in the "Hezbollah case".

Police officers at the Matareya police station received information on the 45-year-old fugitive named Jihad Ahmed Hassan, who was originally sentenced in 2009.

Hassan was re-arrested at his home by police officres, and legal action is now being taken against the defendant prior to his deportation.
