Hot temperatures over Cairo, Alexandria on Monday

Meteorologists expect hot temperatures to prevail over the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Cairo, and Upper Egypt’s northern parts with higher temperatures over Upper Egypt’s southern parts during the morning and afternoon’s hours on Monday. Temperatures will become milder during the evening and night’s hours.

Visibility will be unclear in the morning, due to light mist on Egypt’s northern parts. Low and medium level clouds will appear over the northern coasts, Halaib and Shalateen, along with light rains.

Winds are expected to be mostly northwesterly and moderate in strength across Egypt’s northern parts of Upper Egypt and South Sinai. They will be active over the Gulf of Suez and Red Sea, disrupting maritime navigation.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1 to 1.5 meters in height, with rougher waves in the Red Sea ranging between 2.5 to 3 meters in height. Surface winds will be northwesterly in both seas.

Maximum temperatures predicted on Monday; Cairo: 35C, Alexandria: 30C, Hurgada:37 C, Portsaid: 31C, Qena: C40, Luxor: 38 C,  Aswan: 43C.
