Very hot weather continues on Monday, Cairo 40C

Meteorologists expect very hot weather to continue on Monday across Egypt. Milder temperatures are expected along the north coast and at night.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning in Lower Egypt, Cairo, the Suez Canal cities and along the north coast. Low and medium-level clouds are anticipated in the north.

Winds are expected to be mostly northeasterly and moderate in strength. It will be active in northern Upper Egypt and Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, with northeasterly surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 to 2.5 meters in height, with northwesterly surface winds.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows; 40C in Cairo and 36C in Alexandria, 43C in Qena, 44C in Luxor, and 44C in Aswan.
