
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned that temperatures across the country will see a noticeable drop during the early morning and late night hours on Monday, with Cairo expected to reach as low as 14C overnight.
The weather on Monday will be slightly cold at night and in the early morning, and slightly cold during the day in most areas.
The EMA advised people to wear jackets due to the heightened wind activity.
It also warned of the formation of fog in the early morning hours on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, as well as in parts of central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.
Satellite imagery detected wind activity across most of the country from Tuesday, May 5 to Saturday, May 9.
Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta will see temperatures ranging between 24C-29C, while the North Coast will experience temperatures between 20C-26C.
In Upper Egypt temperatures will range between 25C-32C, reaching between 31C-36C in in southern Upper Egypt.
The EMA urged citizens to follow daily updates due to the rapid changes in weather conditions during spring.
