‘I have no money:’ tourist t-shirts printed with messages drive vendors away

"No money," "I have no money, leave me alone," and other similar phrases were printed in Arabic on the t-shirts of some tourists in Hurghada to avoid the harassment of bazaar owners and street vendors who press tourists to buy their goods.

Badawy Abdel Karim, a tour guide, said, "This trend has spread because tourists want to roam freely without the harassment of workers in tourist bazaars, as most tourists prefer to walk around and watch, and decide to buy later."

Some tourists do not have enough money to buy goods, he added.

Many tourists showed great interest in the t-shirts. The tourist chooses the phrase he likes and the vendor copies the phrase on the t-shirt in few hours.
