The Egyptian Independent Teachers Syndicate has launched a door-to-door campaign to increase its membership. The initiative includes distributing leaflets to schools.
The syndicate is also seeking membership into the World Federation of Teachers' Unions.
Group officials met with their German counterparts to explore the possibility of exchanging experience and training.
Ayman al-Beyali, a syndicate member, said the move comes after the International Labor Organization recognized the syndicate.
Al-Beyali also mentioned that the group submitted a report to the attorney general accusing the Minister of Education of legal transgressions.
