Int’l forum on future of human rights education kicks off in Cairo

The International Forum on the Future of Education and Human Rights Education in the Arab Region kicked off on Wednesday18/10/2023 in Cairo.

The forum is held in partnership between the National Council for Human Rights, the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI), the Arab League, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the Arab Institute for Human Rights (AIHR), and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The objectives of the forum are to introduce the 2022-2026 Arab plan for human rights education.

The forum is attended by several ministers, Vice-President of the National Council for Human Rights Mahmoud Karem, the Council’s Secretary-General Fahmi Fayed, as well as representatives of a number of ministries, institutions and governmental bodies, and representatives of a number of Arab countries (Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Djibouti, Mauritania, Lebanon, and the Sultanate of Oman).
