Israel destroyed 94% of Gaza’s hospitals: WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that only 19 out of 36 hospitals in the Gaza Strip remain operational, with staff working under “impossible conditions.”

The organization added that “at least 94% of all hospitals in the Gaza Strip have been damaged or destroyed,” while “northern Gaza has been almost completely stripped of healthcare.”

The WHO further noted that across the entire Strip, only 2,000 hospital beds remain available, a number “completely insufficient to meet current needs.”

“The destruction is systematic,” the statement continued. “Hospitals are rehabilitated and supplied, only to become vulnerable to hostilities or be attacked again. This destructive cycle must end.”

The World Health Organization also revealed that Gaza’s population is enduring severe shortages of food, water, medical supplies, fuel, and shelter.

Furthermore, four major hospitals were forced to suspend their medical services in the past week due to their proximity to areas of hostilities, evacuation zones, or active attacks.
