Israel prevents humanitarian aid from entering Gaza through Rafah crossing

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that Israeli forces have prevented aid trucks from entering Egypt through the Rafah land crossing.

It said in a statement on Friday evening that occupation authorities informed the Society, organizations, and all entities operating at the Rafah land crossing that it will prevent the entry of aid trucks from the Egyptian side into the Gaza Strip, starting Friday until further notice – and that the crossing must be emptied of the trucks on the Palestinian side as soon as possible.

“This decision increases the suffering of citizens and the magnitude of the challenges facing humanitarian and relief organizations in alleviating the suffering of citizens and displaced people as a result of the ongoing aggression against Gaza Strip,” it added.

On Friday, the Israeli army officially announced that fighting had resumed in the Gaza Strip.

The government media office in Gaza confirmed that the Israeli army bombed several safe areas in the Strip, and held the international community responsible for the continuation of the war.
