Mansour to call for the constitution referendum Saturday

Interim President Adly Mansour will announce the date for teh constitutional referendum on Saturday in the presence of members of the Committee of 50 and the Committee of 10.
 
Also attending the announcement are Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawy, Al-Azhar Grand Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, a representative of Pope Tawadros II, the deputy prime ministers, the ministers, presidential advisors, members of the Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies, heads of judges clubs and trade unions, the heads of the National Council for Women and the National Council for Human Rights, representatives of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, the Supreme Council of the Police and the Supreme Press Council, presidents of public universities, representatives of farmers and workers, and the families of martyrs and victims of the revolution.
 
Presidential spokesperson Ihab Badawi said the announcement marks the beginning of practical measures being taken towards achieving the goals of the 25 January and 30 June revolutions. “It also culminates the efforts of the Committee of 50 and the Committee of 10,” he said. “They did the job in time.”
 
“The president will call on the Egyptian people to work together and uphold the interests of the country,” he added.
