Mehleb: Adly Mansour to decide on Sisi’s dismissal

Consultations to form a new cabinet are still ongoing, and expected it to be completed Thursday, according to a statement by new Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb.

As for the dismissal of Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Mehleb ensured that the president would decide as sovereign ministers are selected by the president.
 
"I and members of the new cabinet will exert the maximum effort to meet the needs of our citizens and serve the people and achieve their aspirations," he said.
 
Interim President Adly Mansour assigned Mehleb to the post of prime minister last Tuesday after the resignation of Hazem al-Beblawy's Cabinet last Monday.
 
Mehleb assigned Mustafa Madbouly as his successor to the Minister of Housing position. 
 
Mehleb arrived on Thursday morning to the headquarters of the Cabinet to complete his meetings with candidates in preparation for the swearing in front of interim president, expected to be Thursday or Saturday. 
 
The new cabinet is expected include 33 ministers, including 16 ministers from Hazem al-Beblawy's.
 
The portfolios that have not been decided yet includes the environment, transport, industry, justice and health.
 
Minister of Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Muttalib will reportedly keep his his post in the new cabinet.
