Military announces murder of jihadist group’s military wing head in Sinai

Head of military wing of the group Al-Tawhid Wal Jihad, Ahmed Hemdan Harb al-Meneiy, known as Abu Mariam, was killed on Saturday at Mahdiya village as military troops raided the village, the military spokesperson posted on his Facebook page.
 
Military and police troops killed three jihadists during a shootout who were driving a car without license plates. While Abu Marian was trying to escape from the car, troops targeted him. Among items recovered from him, were weapons and a flash memory drive with jihadists videos.
 
After searching the vehicle, troops seized additional weapons stocked inside.
