Military council to amend law on electoral constituencies

An official source has revealed that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) is amending the new law on electoral constituencies, which has been condemned by various political parties and revolutionary youth coalitions for serving the interests of the Muslim Brotherhood and the remnants of the former regime.

The source added that the council is considering canceling the prerequisite of a blue-collar candidate to head each electoral list, as well as reducing the number of lists, before announcing the final amendments within a few days or perhaps a few hours.
