Ministry warns pilgrims against talking politics

The Endowments Ministry has warned pilgrims against talking politics during Islam's holiest ritual which begins late September.

The ministry warned pilgrims traveling to the Islamic holy land in Saudi Arabia against "using the rituals for political and denominational interests", vowing "deterrent measures against violators".

It said in a statement on Tuesday that penalties would include immediate deportation and prosecution, as well as a pilgrimage visa denial for ten years.
