Mo Salah becomes first player Liverpool history to score in nine consecutive matches

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah became the first player in the history of Liverpool to score in nine consecutive matches in all competitions, after scoring two goals on Tuesday in a match between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid that ended two-three for Liverpool, according to the Opta statistics network.

Salah opened the scoring for his team Liverpool against its host Atletico Madrid, on Tuesday evening, in the third round of the group stage of the European Champions League.

He scored the first goal in the eighth minute, after he got the ball on the right side to evade more than one player, firing a shot from the outskirts of the penalty area which collided with his veteran colleague James Milner, before continuing its way past the Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Guinean Naby Keita added the second goal for Liverpool, before Atletico Madrid managed to score two goals.
