Moderate weather expected Tuesday

Meteorologists expect moderate winter weather on Tuesday that will be warmer in the south during daylight hours and very cold at night.

Temperatures in central Sinai may turn cold enough for frost. 

 
Mist will affect visibility in Lower Egypt, Cairo and the Suez Canal cities.
 
Low-level and medium-level clouds will prevail in the north and far south, accompanied by rainfall on the northern coast and in parts of Lower Egypt and Cairo and the cities of Halayib and Shalateen. Wind strength will range between moderate to active on most parts of the republic and in the Mediterranean Sea, disrupting navigation.
 
Waves in the Mediterranean are expected to range between two to three meters high. Waves in the Red Sea will range between one to to meters high. Surface winds on both seas will be northwesterly.
 
Maximum and minimum temperatures expected in Cairo: 22/11C, Alexandria: 19/14C, Sharm el-Sheikh: 27/16C, Hurghada: 27/13C, Luxor: 24/9C, and Aswan: 27/11C.
