Moderately hot weather across Egypt on Wednesday

Meteorologists on Wednesday predict moderately hot and humid weather on Cairo and Lower Egypt during the daytime with hot weather in northern Upper Egypt, moderate weather at the northern coasts, and very hot weather in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.

By nightfall the weather will grow mild across most of the country, with moderate temperatures at southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 31C in Alexandria, 35C in Cairo, 36C in Greater Cairo, 43C in Qena and Luxor and 44C in Aswan.

Medium rains (approximately 20 percent) are anticipated at several areas in South Sinai, and the Red Sea mountains.

Mists are expected during the morning hours on Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern coasts.

Winds will be moderate and active on the western coasts and northern Upper Egypt, disturbing maritime navigation on Red Sea, and raising sands on the southwestern areas of the country.

Maximum and minimum humidity levels are: 27-84 on Lower Egypt and Cairo, 45-89 at the northern coasts, 22-60 in northern Upper Egypt, and 14-30 in southern Upper Egypt.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority said that the country is still being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which makes the country’s weather hotter and more humid.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
