NASL says Friday protests challenged threats of the coup leaders

National Alliance Supporting Legitimacy (NASL) said the Egyptian people should be greeted for the rallies that took to streets on Friday, adding it will not surrender gains of the January revolution, despite the sacrifices.

In a statement on Friday, NASL said, “People have confused the leaders of the 3 July coup. They have challenged their threats and attacks. Millions took to streets at all governorates to restore rights of freedom, dignity and justice during the biggest protests Egypt has been witnessing since the fascist bloody military coup.

Egyptians of all ages and segments of society have gathered. Despite their differences, Egyptians agreed that what happened was a full-fledged military coup and that we should fear Egypt will be lost under this coup-lead administration that has ruined the lives of Egyptians.

Arresting the patriotic leaders and thousands of honorable people hasn't prevented rallies of protesters across Egypt. Frequent protests have produced new leaders and made real heroes that will lead the movement,” NASL added.

The alliance said it will resume its marches against the coup, calling on people to continue their rallies daily to restore the revolution in a week.
