A new national salvation government is to be announced Wednesday, following the results of the first phase of the parliamentary elections, sources close to Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzouri have said.
They also said that some ministers from the most recent cabinet would remain in office, such as Electricity Minister Hassan Younis, International Cooperation Minister Fayza Abouelnaga, Petroleum Minister Abdullah Ghorab, Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr and Justice Minister Abdel Aziz al-Guindi, though the Free Judges Coalition had proposed Councilor Hisham Geneina for the Justice Ministry because he has a good reputation.
Ganzoury had met with representatives of the various political forces to discuss the new government and suggestions to lead the country out of the current crisis.
