The National Elections Authority (NEA) announced on Wednesday the new formation of its board under the chairmanship of Hazem Badawy, the Vice President of the Court of Cassation, who will assume the post instead of Walid Hamza, who was appointed last June as head of the Authority.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Authority said the new formation of its board follows Republican decree no.426 of year 2023 appointing five counselors as board members in accordance with the related constitution and law.
NEA added that the constitution and the law for its establishment stipulated the board include ten counselors.
